Such attention to every detail and played with great sensitivity. Not to mention the cleanliness of every minute note. This is why the Sanford is in Chicago in 2023.

These guys are just flat out awesome, across the entire battery. Such a cool perspective. I rewound the section leading into the Casey claw at least 10 times. It’s just N.A.S.T.Y!!!

What is that visual at 2:58 supposed to be? It looks cool and I think I might try to add it for my drumline
@Iplayquad9 ай бұрын
Im guessing (could be 100% wrong) its supposed to be like a gear moving? Bc thats their thing at Cavies is the Green Machine, and they have stuff symbolized as gears. So maybe its a "gear"??? I have no idea

It’s a FS-BK2 from innovative percussion but they added the ridges on it themselves

Important to note what the pocket sounds like from the field. Sounds off slightly. This is what you want.

can someone please tell me who these guys are? are they high schoolers? college kids? are the affiliated with a school, or is it a third-party organization? all i know is that they're called the cavaliers, that they are a drum core, and that they compete in something called DCI, though not sure what "Sanford" means in the comments. any insight would be appreciated.
@daskrete10 ай бұрын
They are the cavaliers which is apart of DCI (drum CORPS international). There are MANY corps that compete but only 12 make finals. You can march DCI from ages 16-21 I believe maybe 22 but I’m not too sure now a days so they could be in high school or in college or neither. Every year, 1 corp is crowned with first but the horn section, drum line, and color guard get scored separately and the award for best percussion section is called the Fred Sanford Award. So your whole drum corps (horns,colorguard,and percussion) overall could get an 8th place, but have the best percussion section in the whole activity. That’s exactly what happened with the cavaliers.
