Beautiful! that loco and wagon fell in there in the 1970's when tiping waste slate and was thought burried! you must have been the first people to have seen it in 50 years!

This may be sacrilegious in such a pristine environment, but I would like to chcuk a few buckets of pond water in and see if anything survives and grows from that and then chuck in a few goldfish (yep good eating)and see if anything could evolve into albino cave creatures. I doubt if anything would survive, slate makes the water far to acidic Ken .

Not totally related, but interesting, but at Corris mine there are frogs deep down inside there that are evolving into a new line, they are slowly losing thier eye sight and limbs are changing shape too.

None taken David the trouble with distance shots is sometimes the camera has problems focusing as there is no defined edges . Although it is clear there is always a slight haze .
