Cave Diving - Ginnie Springs Outdoors, Exploring Off the Main Line

January 3, 2016 cave dive at Ginnie Springs Outdoors near High Springs, Florida by Brett Floren and Jeff Cary to test video camera and video light. Brett is the diver, Jeff is filming. Roughly a 90 minute dive condensed to 26 minutes of video showing a trip through the Catacombs to the Lips where we explored the Lips Bypass lines to get oriented for a future dive. Checked out the Keyhole bypass, Keyhole, Bench and main line up towards Hill 400. Returned through the Gallery to our line retrieving the reel through the Catacombs again. Did a short recalculation dive back to the Lips checking out the Dome in the ceiling above the Lips. Returned to the "untrained diver" warning sign at Devil's Ear and exited through Devil's Eye. Camera battery ran out as Brett is seen up at the Eye. Made for a good ending. After reviewing this draft video for accuracy text errors were corrected in a second version to be loaded on 1/14/16. Fabulous absolutely fab footage but have you not noticed that all most all of these caves have undesirable Names ex The Devil's Ear Any way I enjoy the fact they kept the Authenticness of the footage as in the sound of the water and air which is enjoyable to listen to than some who put over that Dramatic Music,,, Thanks for sharing

We were there 12-30-16 and again on 1-17-16, so we may have crossed paths at some point. I noted toward the end of your dive that you found a jump line running under the Lips, around a large rock and into the room off the left side of the lips (from the perspective of entering the cave). That line was a jump line connecting to the Lips Bypass line, which is located in the low and skinny end of that room. The Lips Bypass line then connects to the Key Hole bypass line near the end of the Lips Bypass line, via a T where the Lips By pass line takes a hard right turn back to the main line. The Key Hole bypass line then comes back to the main line in the large, deep crack in the floor a bit before the Hill 400 line. Also, if you stop about 20' short of where you exited the Catacombs to the Gallery, and look to the left,t you'll see a duck under. Take that route instead and you'll come out of the Catacombs just across from the lips. You can then keep running the reel around the rock, into the room to the left of the Lips and connect directly to the Lips Bypass Line.
