Jonathan and Cameraman Todd join legendary cave diver Edd Sorenson for a dive exploring Jackson Blue Spring in Marianna, Florida. This is the first magnitude head spring for Merritt's Mill Pond. It's another great Blue World cave diving adventure!
WARNING! Cave Diving is extremely dangerous and should only be undertaken by divers with the proper equipment and training. This video is for entertainment purposes only and should not be considered “instructional” in any way. The dive team that produced this video is fully cave certified with years of experience.

Jackson Blue is one of our favorite caves and of course we love diving with Edd, he was our KISS Sidewinder instructor and we’ve learned so much from him. It’s impossible to see on the video how strong the current is, going through the Keyhole (without a DPV) was always a challenge, 95 million gallons of water was the flow rate when I was there and man was that an eye opening experience! Can’t wait to be back at Jackson Blue!

It was hard to see how fast it was on the way in, but wow watching them fly out gives you a much better idea of how fast that current is

"95 million gallons of water was the flow rate" That's not a rate, it's a volume. What's the time reference? 95 million gallons per minute? Per hour? Per day? THAT will tell us the rate.

I’ve lived here in Marianna my whole life and I’ve never been down into those caves. When I was younger we heard so many stories about people who died in there because of improper training. I can remember rolling into town at 3 years old. My dad bought land out 231 and we lived in Evans trailer park for couple yrs then moved out to the land. It backed up to a cypress pond and next to that was a bar pit. That Baxter trucking hauled from. I found arrow heads just laying on the ground in that pit. I grew up there as a child and then moved to tally. Where my mom was from.

Amazing place ! Love seeing your north Florida videos ! I just dislike seeing the algae overgrowth and sparse SAVs (submerged aquatic vegetation). Florida is loving the springs to death. Over pumping, agriculture, and too much recreation are destroying these beautiful places and once they're gone you can't bring them back. I'd love to see a video of you diving with Jill Heinerth!
