The fact he can spawn above ground and being super tanky are the biggest issues I have w/ this mod. Def needs some re-balancing. Aside from that, good remake. I still miss the OG tho.

I will admit the quality of this add-on is impressive and the way that the dweller has been designed makes it feel a lot more like a Cryptid and less like a mob. And I must admit the nest adds a nice little hazard for going underground, I kinda wanna collect all those weird organic blocks.

They were very sparse in my experience which is PERFECT! The whole time you’re on edge because you hear the cave dweller walking around and following you. Then you hear its roars and noises. For me, this happened for a solid hour before I started to see the dweller directly. So in short, it gets more activated over time and you can speed up that process by going into deeper caves in the negative Y levels.

t's hard to tell in the video because I edited lots of interactions together. It depends. He spawns often in strip mines but if you don't look behind you you won't see him. He spawns less frequently in caves. Most of the time he spawns and you don't know he is there or he just watches you from a distance. I chose to fight him pretty much every time.

@@heyitsagoodday4325 That is also correct. For the first hour or so in a cave you will probably not see him at all. When he is watching you for the first time creepy music will play in the background. You won't see him yet though. The Cave Dweller makes itself seen when it wants to! 👀

Does it evolve only through time ? I made some testing in creative and its just really bad, unable to reach the player most of the time, unable to breach, unable to be unstuck from the roof… I can only see it being good if they allow him to break blocks way easier because the tracking coding is very far from perfect.

If you destroy his dwelling (like I did with TNT) he will not respawn in a 300 block area around the destroyed dwelling anymore. That land is now safe. 🙂
