It's the Illinois river forks State park. It's called that because the park is located at the convergence of the east and west forks of the Illinois river. Thank you for keeping our park maintained. It looks amazing. It has been a battle in the past with "people", and I use the term loosely, destroying/vandalizing what was there and stealing anything they could. The park has been vastly improved since those days, which I hope are long behind us, never to return.

I know loved that park. Sad about people just don't care. But you know what. That is the job of state parks to keep YOUR parks clea. They do a great job. People being decent and keeping it clean also helps.

The s is silent in Illinois. I literally was corrected last week on the pronunciation of it. It runs in the family I guess 😂.
