Just got back from there and the employee there told us that they rebuild it every year. Was hoping there was a video because that seemed unbelievable and dangerous. Nothing but respect for these workers who do this job because this was a awesome experience!

The heroic builders of Niagara Falls Cave of the Winds deckwork. Awesome teamwork in near freezing water. Rebuilt every year when the ice melts in Spring. Checkout some of the videos of the Hurricane Deck(!)

Want to do this on my trip. But then they said "free standing" and I am thinking twice about it now.

It's fine. Ive been on it multiple times. It feels so secure, I didn't even realize they had to rebuild it every year. Just assumed it was always there.
