The Cave of Winds is the best way to get up close and personal with Niagara Falls. Watch as we climb the scaffolding to the Hurricane Deck, experience tropical storm force conditions, and feel the cold of the Bridal Falls. Yes we got to touch Niagara Falls!
Niagara Falls Cave of the Winds is something we will never forget! More details on what to expect and why you must visit the Cave of the Winds on the American side of Niagara Falls on the blog! www.twotravelingtexans.com/ca...

What an awesome experience to observe this world famous waterfall so close. I have visited Niagara Falls several times and only once I took a boat tour to see the waterfalls closer. This was literally 20 years ago and I believe "The Cave of Winds" didn't exist at that time. But now I would love to come back and take the similar boat trip or "Cave of Winds" with my wife and my daughter.

Thanks. Yes the Cave of the Winds is on the American Side. It is right next to the Bridal Veil Falls. If you go back you will have to do it. The Hurrican Deck is intense

I cant believe you captured so well the tropical storm force conditions there. I felt like I was visiting there. I bet it was cold touching the falls. Did those wet suits help at all?

Yes, it is on the American side. I know the overall view is better from the Canadian side but it is worth it to cross over just for the Cave of the Winds!

The cave of the winds sounds very attractive from the beginning. Wow, this place is so amazing. I understand why you need this protection from the rain. Is it possible to go with the kids there?
@TwoTravelingTexans

Yes, there were plenty of kids there. It was intense but fun at the same time

What time of year did you visit? Was there a long line to get in? We are going in July this year and I'm a little worried about long lines in the sun...
@TwoTravelingTexans

We went in June and got there when they opened. There was maybe 10 people in front of us, so not much of a line. You should definitely go, we had so much fun.

I have a question, do they make you sign a waiver for this attraction? I noticed you stated they rebuild those stairs every year?? I’m assuming those are wooden and not concrete steps and the platform underneath is not concrete.
@TwoTravelingTexans
@TwoTravelingTexans 6 жыл бұрын
We did not sign a waiver and yes everything is wooden. Thanks for watching!

Why do they rebuild the stairs every year?
@TwoTravelingTexans
@TwoTravelingTexans 6 жыл бұрын
My understanding is the power of the water hitting it starts to wear it down.
