I remember watching this as a 10 year old when it was first broadcast. Gave me nightmares and made sure I never went potholing.

I can confirm this re-enactment was filmed in April 1993 and aired later that year. Ironically we had a major car accident on the way to one of the filming days hence I remember the dates well.

Think its important for people to realise all CRO volunteers are just that. Volunteers. It's not a job, it's not lavishly funded, the divers and cavers even have to supply their own kit.
