Caverns of Chaos - Dystopian Wars Battle Report

Welcome to Love & Wargames, the channel dedicated to spreading the love (of wargames) around the world!
Following the Fall of Tortuga, the vast majority of Garibaldi's Rebellion retreats into a massive oceanic cave in the Archipelago Omega. This is their lair, their main base of operation, but what are they hiding there? While the Italians fortify what they still own, the Empire is still reeling from its assault on Tortuga and cannot push forward. Luckily for them, the Praetorian Guard finished wiping out the EITC remnants around the Vortex Omega, and sent a vast fleet to wipe out Garibaldi once and for all.
The real question is, why are the Italian Rebels holding so dearly to this cave, what have they found here? Since it is their first holdout, does it mean that what they found there gave them enough confidence to start their uprising? Is it a weapon? Resources? Something else? The Praetorian Guard will have to breach through the Rebel defensive line, under the darkness of the cave, in order to get some answers...

Love the battle reports, especially as they have been broken down to a good length and focus on the important things. Nice that you include some important dice rolls. Please continue the narrative, interested to see what happens next.

Great battle as always. Loved the idea of the cave terrain for it and it made for a lot of fun when you got grouped up and then hit with a magazine explosion. Looking forward to seeing the second half of this one. Maybe we'll see a secret Watchers base that was unknown until now

i actually really enjoyed the added rules for the named flagships adds a lot of space for the narrative and. changes a factions play style a bit

Such a nice idea to allow for certain special rules to be aquired by named ships. How did you calculate the approximate worth of rules and are they universal or do certain ships / factions get them for more / less than others? Anyway nice batrep; will have a re-watch tonight :)
