I like when he sings slower, his British accent comes through a bit more. As an English person,I can confirm it's a lot easier to sing in more of an American accent because (this is the best way I can describe it bear with me) American accents sort of roll off the tongue easier. Like cursive speech. Love people who can sing but still keep their British accent sounds really cool

I'd describe it as more of a neutral accent than an American one, but the American accent is practically a neutral accent anyways. edit: you loose your accent when you're singing, so yes there is a "neutral" accent when singing. but not with normal speech. singing is processed differently in the brain. edit2: sources. "Linguistically, the very process of singing has an accent-neutralising effect. Accent differences are largely created through intonation, vowel quality and vowel length - all of which are affected when we sing. In singing, syllables are lengthened, air flow is increased, articulation is less precise."
