That's a great suggestion! We visited Cavtat on October 12th which seemingly must've been toward the beginning of their off-season, even though Dubrovnik and other areas were still very much open and busy.

Looks like you went to Cavtat during the off season. Hotels Albatros and Epidaurus were closed

Out of season visit. Pretty standard in any tourist areas in Europe.

What time of year did you come? Has to have been out of season - Cavtat is much more laid back than Dubrovnik, but it's usually much, much busier than this :0)

We were there at the beginning of October which must have been the start of off-season, even though many other towns were still open and busy. But I'm sure there's plenty to do during tourist season!

Best time to go, Sept and Oct, when insane crowds are gone.

sorry for the slow response here Nicholas. It wasn't sweltering, it wasn't cold. in the high 60's (Fahrenheit), low 70s. Great weather. October will most likely be in the mid to low 60s with maybe a little bit of rain. there may be a lot less people there at that time though!

@@Stevecantrill everyone I have spoken to say cavtat is Gorgeous and most go back every year so must be good.

We were here at the end of September, beginning of October. They had closed up for the season by then.

May is busy but not too busy like in peak season, everything should be open then, went last year going back this year.
