You are most welcome. I had wanted to visit this Castle for such a long time and it was worth the wait.

The gardens are wonderful. Enjoying from cold and snowing western Canada (in the Rockies).

I slept in their barn once! They asked me to stay in the castle,as I had sprained my ankle really bad,but I said I'd sleep in the barn. I d idnt want them to think I was taking advantage of the fact that I w as related to Macbeth. They were very kind and bandaged my ankle up and sat me up in the barn. The hay was so clean and sweet smelling. Then they brought out to me a full meal on a tray. Then another tray with tea and biscuits. I felt their friendliness so much.Great people. All this was in the early 80's.

I was there three years ago and the castle and grounds are both spectacular. The castle bills itself as Scotland’s most romantic castle. No one in my family was going to nay-say that.

I agree 100%. I love that the Countess is so hands-on and lives there in the off-season. You can tell that the sitting room has that actual lived in feel.
