Hi, To anyone asking about my cymbal set up, here it is Zildjian 15” K Light Hi Hats 20” K Sweet Crash 22” K Custom Dark Ride 21” A Sweet Ride and then I just recently added a 19” K Custom Special Dry Trash Crash Also, while we’re here, I play a C&C Player Date I kit. Some wacky limited edition one that has an outer ply of red oak. 14x22, 8x13, 15x16 And then primarily use a 6.5x14 Ludwig Copper-Phonic snare that I put die cast hoops on Then use Remo heads, coated P77/Hazy Ambassador (and PureSound Super 30s) on the snare, coated Vintage Emps/clear Ambassadors on the toms, then clear P3/coated Ambassador on the bass drum Then Vic Firth 5B wood tips, DW 5000 pedal and hardware (except 2 9000 snare stands for snare / rack) That is just about my whole set up so now you all know :-)

left handed drummers look 10x more technical for some reason
@stehbenss4 жыл бұрын
Nope, this is just technical as fuck 😅

I'm lefty and watching other lefty drummers makes me happy 😊 but It makes my brain itch watching right handed drummers

John's such an underrated drummer! I love his fills a lot! Especially that blast beat in Pretense!

I love watching John play, but it throws me off sometimes that he's a lefty. Trying to follow along as a right handed drummer has me focusing more to see what he's doing. Solid drummer

Something about his technique is much different than what I usually see from other drummers, but I can’t quite piece it together. He’s got great technique, I’m not saying it’s bad, but there’s something different about it and I’m not sure what it is. I’d probably hold my sticks lower than he does, but yeah pretty much he’s got great technique. Any ideas on what it could be?
@JeffreyAdamiDrums4 жыл бұрын
Perhaps it’s that when he’s playing a beat on the hi hat it looks really loose but when he’s on the cymbals he looks stiff

I think his movements are more circular than usual
@dalehudak70354 жыл бұрын
@@coreyroberts47 I think you're definitely right about this. He doesn't play through the drums like a lot of drummers, he bounces off of them
