I was debating picking up a vintage flannel lined L. L. Bean outdoor work jacket, but then I remembered like you said, Carhartt people like their stuff a little distressed. Mine has some tiny holes in places. I decided to take a chance thinking maybe people who buy those outdoorsy jackets wouldn't mind it as much just knowing the nature of what it was used for. Not too high of a buy-in so I tried it. Hope your Carhartt sells fast!

I just found that exact American eagle y2k shirt but comps were not very good. Average $10 😬 I decided to keep it! Hopefully you can get more than $9 or $10! Or maybe you have a better size! I love those shirts!

It's got to be the right styles paired with the right keywords.

I know you don't have best offer on any listings but you do have a 10% coupon on many listings. You also promote. You don't find that your net profit on an item is significantly decreased after all that? What is your overall strategy on discounts (sending best offers, etc.). I'm planning on mixing up my strategy this year. I've always accepted offers, rarely promote, and send our offers of 10% pretty regularly. It works to a point. Lots of hard goods but moving more into clothing. So far, clothing isn't moving like I'd hoped. I think I will probably sign up for your group this year.

Yes, it does add up in my expenses. The important thing to remember with offers, sales, promotions, etc. is that the output has to be larger than the input. When I turned on promoted listings, my expenses increased but my net profit was larger because my sales increased by 75%. I send out offers to watchers in bulk every day with a flat 15% off. I keep an eye on my numbers and as long as I'm making more net profit each month then I continue my strategy. I recommend that you test things out this year and see what works for your store.

Quick question. Are you making more money re selling or more when you were working a 9-5?

I make significantly more money being an entrepreneur.

If you list an item of a "non popular" name brand. Do you put that in your title of your listing or just put keywords explaining it?
@cayleyelaine8 күн бұрын
We usually include the brand only because I have given my employees a straightforward title template to follow. But theoretically it would probably be better to not include the brand and just use keywords if it's an obscure brand that no one looks for.
