@@captainsolon you’d have to check to make sure they reopened all of the restaurants. When we went it was limited to two, and there was only one buffet. Other than that, it was definitely a bit boring if you ask me

@@captainsolon honestly, if you're the adventurous type, you would definitely get bored. If you're used to chilling on a beach and that's all you need, then go for it if you find a deal. But honestly there's other places out there that are better and cheaper

I have been on this island at the public beach. Beautiful island but now the cost is outrageous. I would love to visit again but now that it has been refurbished its out of my price range. Gorgeous area and worth visiting. I guess it is not run by Bahia Principe any longer.

I agree the price is outrageous. $7k for 1 week! Booking is still done through Bahia, though not sure if they are the ones who manage it

It is still a Bahia Principe property…..if you check their website it’s listed there…..I guess given the price difference between CL and other BP resorts they market it differently

Such a great quality video! Amazing resort renovations looks beautiful. But the Price LMAO for a Bahia they are going to out price them self's for this one. once the prices come down it will sell out fast. cheers

We’ve been here at least 10 times. We thought it was perfect as it was. I could not justify this price and the amount of travel to be disappointed with the changes.

I see your room was a junior suite did you book a seaview one or is this one just a junior suite cause you can still see the ocean. We want to book here and would like to know and do all the junior suites have balconys?

It was a junior suite, which was actually the cheapest option! Not sure if all have balconies, but it should be in the details when you are booking

We stayed here for 3 weeks about 30 years ago when tourism was just being kick-started again in the Dom' Rep'.One thing's for sure,although a brilliant holiday,it looked nothing like this back then but if memory serves me well,and i'm pretty sure it does,it cost £6000 for all 4 of us all inclusive

That’s a great question, they only had an evening buffet and the other restaurants were closed during this trip. There weren’t enough people at the resort at the timr

Its like that with many caribbean islands. Around the resort its beautiful, lush and manicured for the tourist dollars but outside of the resorts you see the real island life.

Hour long, lucky you. From the US, I had to fly to Santo Domingo, then a 2 &1/2 hr drive, nothing from the US lands up there. Had to just tack a couple days onto vaca to make up for absolute loss of first and last day. Worth it though, not the same ol' type of resort people usually go to.

Beautiful spot but food is so so, price is ridiculous, beach very small. There are so many way nicer places for less money. Any secrets, excellence, hyatt properties are better and better value

Nah.. They're all the same loud jammed type of places. Been here twice over the years and it's an experience, the rest you mentioned I've been too, and they're nice and service is good and you get swim out rooms, etc, and big buffets but they're a dime a dozen, you've been to one you've been to them all
