I’ll never forget Christmas 1959. I was six years old. We were going to go to one of my aunt’s houses, where there would be us, uncles, aunts, cousins, food, games, outdoor play. But it was not be. I woke up with measles. One of the biggest disappointments of my childhood.

Awww! What a way to spend Christmas! Those big family gatherings were the best, weren't they? Always an aunt to pinch your cheeks and an uncle to pull your leg 😄 I'm so thankful we don't have to worry about measles anymore!!
