Money laundering through casinos is a very effective way to move money. This is a cool change from the usual car events Chad.

Great video, I had check to make sure I clicked on the right link. New side to Chad. I have been told, no one wins big at the casinos and makes it back across the Thai border with their money..

Thanks for sharing your experience with this area. Excellent documentary.

it's pretty sad what's happened in Sihanouk ville. It used to be a super laid back,(kinda like the Lonely Beach or Nirvana area of Koh Chang) fun back packer, and super inexpensive sea side resort town with a great vibe, lots of funky little beach shack bars that were open late. Now it's super over run with Chinese tourists, huge Semi's hauling shit into and out of the port, construction every where with those low rent looking glass and concrete sub 20 story Indo-Chinese style casino hotels. They really sucked the soul out of the place.

As an American I really can't judge this because we have a place called Las Vegas and the same thing goes on here.

They even have an opium museum there on the Thai side. It is quite interesting.

Had no idea the zone changed this much, pretty wild transformation, can only imagine the amount of money moving through there. And yeah, in recent years we've been getting plenty of record seizures down here in Australia, no doubt those records will keep being broken.

It s one of the wildest place in the world since 2018... for being there many times before and in the last years, I can confirm that for a western man... it s better to play dumb and not play around! Cheers from Cambodia.

The big boss is either Chinese or Vietnamese. Laos is not self government, Laos is only name on paper. Laos was fully taken over by the communist Vietnam, some 30-40 years ago if not more.

C'mon Chad, "creating" content by essentially piggybacking on quality investigative research and reporting by Bloomberg, simply making occasional superficial commentary is a bit weak.
