I am looking at lowering the Honda CB300R so my 5' (153cm) Thai secretary can ride this bike because this is her favourite motorbike. I was looking at changing the rear suspension with Lust Racing or Ibex rear suspension kit in order to lower the motorbike and would have to lower the forks accordingly to balance it so the handling is not affected.

Try putting more psi in your tires
@DaBinChe Жыл бұрын
nah don't need to put in more psi than that Honda recommends.

I would like it if you finished your vids with a short test drive for results. For example how did changing your exhaust affect the engine. Lots of videos on how to remove bar end weights to add bar end mirrors, but never tell you how that affects the vibration in bars.

I don't do instant gratification. Have to give it time to see how it goes to have a better evaluation. You'll see some of my review videos don't happen until after a year of use. I want long term reviews but sometimes do short term too, mainly when results are differ from what I think would happen or is significant.

Does this kind of lowering will also lower the seat height? Is this also necessary to do if ever the suspension was lowered to keep the geometry and handling nice and smooth?
@DaBinChe4 жыл бұрын
Yes it does lower the seat height a little bit. If you want to keep the stock geometry when lower the rear a little do this. I prefer quicker steering so that is the reason for lowering the front but keeping the rear high, it is still plenty stable.

@@DaBinChe Im planning to buy a cb650r, and because I'm just a 5 foot in height im planning to drop rear shock/seat height to 1.5 inches. Whats your take?

@@romeobazarte525 You would want to lower the front clamp down as much as it can go. You'll need to do something about the kickstand. Once lower the kickstand will stand the bike straight so it will fall over the other side. Look for an adjustable kickstand or a lowered kickstand. Or you can have a welder cut a slot in the stock kickstand and angle it out more to let the bike lean. That was what I did with my XSR900. Think I made a video of that so check that out to see what that looks like. One thing to consider when lowering is that you will have less clearance so might scrap your pegs if ridden aggressively.

@@romeobazarte525 Also you have to learn to "flamingo" the bike, one foot down not both feet, this is what dirt bikers do cause those bikes are so tall. Look up Doodles On A Motorcycle's youtube channel, she talks about being short and riding tall bikes. She actually has a longer inseam than me at 31" while I'm only 30".

Hi. I have a 2019 CB300R. Do you know any lowering links I can use to lower the rear? Am I able to use 300F lowering links? Do you also know where to get a lowered seat?
