Jesus is soon coming not to scare anyone but continue to trust, obey and believe in the Lord

Why would "Jesus is coming soon " be a scary thought? It's been such a long time coming.

Was Jesus also coming soon in 536 AD when there was a volcano that erupted and caused an entire year of winter, killing off plants and animals and disrupting human life on a worldwide scale? Or, when the bubonic plague killed off more than half of the population of Europe in the I4th century? Or World War 1 when millions died and which was followed by a global pandemic, or World War II when, again, millions were slaughtered? How soon is soon, after Jesus is alleged in the Bible to have said to a group of people he was addressing that he would be back before many of them died? I think it’s time we applied our hearts to common sense and realize that life is what it is.
