Its the only show we watch religiously, and have watched the whole series and its holiday movies several time and will watch several more times because its that good,Nothing like it on tv today,We love the characters and the actors and would like to see Dr. grace back,we saw her on another Canadian TV show along with other characters that have graced Murdoch Mysteries over the years,Hudson and Rex,and my wife has fallen in love with this show also,Canadian TV is Number 1 in my book

There is no other series I watch with such religious fervor as Murdoch Mysteries! I have tried to figure out the lure of the series myself and realize its the ensemble itself. They seem to genuinely like to work with each other and respect one another as actors and people and it shines through. Of course I appreciate the sets and locales immensely but other series can have those. But they don't have this cast! Brilliant!

I agree WHOLEHEARTEDLY !!! Fortunately, Murdoch Mysteries is on Netflix; I wouldn't even know of the show if it weren't for Netflix. Those Canadians really put together some top-notch work. I've also enjoyed their colonial era show Frontier (I think that's the name?) and SWAT-style show Flashpoint. I may have to get Murdoch on DVDs, though, to make sure I always have it available!

yeah MM is perfectly suited for PBS--just like w/ the British shows--PBS is one of the last bastions of quality programming unpolluted by fake "reality" crap--"Keep your stick on the Ice," (for any fans of Red Green, also shown on PBS)

Murdoch mysteries take me places that are intriguing and captivating. Watching the show helps me take my mind off the stress and disparities we have in America particularly NYC. I love the era period costumes. Watching how the cast gel is so involved. I'm also daydreaming about that era where I find myself talking like Brackenreid. I'm hooked for life.

I was born in Kingston situated along 401 corridor that runs across both ends of the province in the southern end. Ontario is filled with charming towns to visit all within 1/2 hour to an hours drive from each other where the majority of Murdoch Mysteries was filmed. The Goodwitch and many orher films were also filmed in Hamilton/Dundas area which give these Canadian shows a wonderful ambiance.

Such a wonderful show. Great cast, location, and wardrobe. Excellent acting. I love how they combine the mysteries with science and issues that we discuss even today. Can't say enough about the writing and the directing. I love to bring watch this series.

Love the wonderful scenery, the vintage furnishings of people’s homes w lots of lived-in items, beautifully dressed women and occasionally elegant men. Villains that return in future episodes not necessarily villains. Characters having very real emotions not just as a side character. And almost every season a Holloween type episode where you just know it’s campy. Love the humor inserted. Our Hollywood murder series are only about characters solving the crime in everyday grunge clothes on normal boring city streets. Thank you Murdoch Mysteries

I started watching a Murdoch Mystery episode once but I don't know why I didn't complete it. Well being from Buffalo, NY a skip and a hop from most of those locations named here is pretty interesting. As a young man, before and after the military I spent a lot of time in Ontario, CA. Carousing the Burlington, Hamilton, and Toronto clubs, as well as hunting and, fishing at Lake Simcoe. I think I might start watching the series again for it's historical value.

Love this show. Love the bldg backgrounds, the Era, the clothes they wore (wd like us women to wear hats again 🙂. Men too.), the greenery... Watch it over n over.
