According to his memoirs, which I have a copy of, the Liberals had to plead with Trudeau to lead them again. He was dead set on not coming back and pretty much had enough of it. Up until the 17th of December, he had decided against a comeback, but changed his mind abruptly the next day. So, according to his memoirs, they were not rumors. He really wasn't planning on coming back.

I don’t like either Trudeau’s, but this is pretty cool. A lot of politicians really only think of their own interests, but this guy knew his party needed him and decided to run. Admirable.

Pierre Trudeau mockingly danced a pirouette behind Queen Elizabeth in order to highlight the absurdity of the Queen's table being higher than the tables of the elected Prime Ministers of the Commonwealth nations. His point: elected leaders are not secondary to hereditary monarchs. Is that the dance you're referring to?

@@Josh-cw8by yes! A father is always questionable but a mother isnt! You can proof your father not but you cannot a mother.
