RBC agent pushes unnecessary chequing account on customer, comments on his accent

A Royal Bank customer says he was pressured into signing up for a chequing account he didn’t need. His experience mirrors the findings of a report on the big six banks, years in the making, after Go Public exposed high-pressure environments leading to inappropriate sales.

I had a similar experience with BMO - I felt extremely uncomfortable sitting with the bank manager as he started asking very personal questions that I was not comfortable with. He also kept pushing products and services that I did not needed. I was thinking about reporting him, tbh.

Not surprised by this I used to work at RBC and I was told upsell and I told my boss I will not upsell anyone and she got mad

RBC is the worst! After 12 years with them, and treated very badly decided to leave them. To anyone who has RBC account, close it and run away from them.

It gets worse as we subsidize banks heavily, especially during the pandemic. And yet wonder how to get services done for Canadians... Whether you agree with CERB or not, more effort is going to claim money from people who likely spent it to survive, instead of regulating banks etc. Its clear the governments priorities at this point. Conservative, Liberal, NDP are all the same in my book. None really work for Canadians, only partisan goals. And yes, this is about politics, its how these banks have gotten away with everything.

The whole period of 30 years of the country’s independence Kulibayev family robbed businesses, people. They were part of so called mighty Nazarbayev clan and this has to end. Only developed countries like yours are able to help to balance the justice in regards of this family. This process has already started. Even the latest movie about Nursultan Nazarbayev called Golden man produced by Oliver Stone tells the world the truth. Nazarbayev in his interview said himself that he shot peacefu civilians during events in Zhana Ozen in 2011. He admitted it himself. Crimes like this are against all legal and human rights. The small group of people has stolen all from the people and ruined the economy. Now the country is surviving. All because of bunch of criminals including Timur Kulibayev, Dinara Kulibayeva, Bolat Nazarbayev, Umut Shayakhmerova, Raushan Sagdiyeva. Howcome all of these crimes are unnoticed by the world leaders like you?!

I've had mostly good experiences with TD and regardless, you need to pay close attention to what's being offered because the employees are directed to increase their personal sales.

I was misled completely about credit card insurance they even played me the recorded convo and I was 100 percent mislead where can I take this I think I deserve a refund I dident sign anything and only agreed after being pressured and you can tell on the phonecall he dident answer my question about the cost either
