So glad the episode was not the "Family" episode with 👶 Tumble (his head in a pram) it scared many children & me

In all honesty Mr Tumble is a scary character in general. Something about watching a 50 year old guy acting like a curious and hyperactive child is absolutely horrifying to see. Yes, his job is to entertain children and teach the severely handicapped demographic Makaton signs, which he does very well. But the way that Justin Fletcher plays this character is just very unsettling. Now compare that to the likes of presenters from Fletcher's own childhood, like "Play School"'s Brian Cant, Derek Griffiths and Johnny Ball, and "Blue Peter" hosts like John Noakes. Brian, Derek and Johnny all led children through the magic windows, arched, round or square, whilst acting their age, and John Noakes also was able to act his age on his show. So my question is, why can't presenters do that now?

@@RandomGuy-qh7tl, I’m not pretty sure. The fact is: is that children’s TV isn’t the same anymore in comparison to how it used to be 12 - 22yrs ago.

@@ripcbeebiesclassics3961 Fair enough, but ironically, shows like "Play School" and "Blue Peter" are definitely a lot more timeless than most children's television of today. I mean all you have to do is watch "Play School" and then look at the CBEEBIES remake, that being "Tikkabilla".
