Found out that ppl living the van life can set up a physical address through one of three states with special laws in place that will forward mail to you on the road more easily. Those states are Florida, Texas and South Dakota. Some how they will create a physical address via the post office without you having to have an actual home, per se.

Yeah, Hilly!!, best club EVER, more LIVE music than we ever saw in one place - the dogshit (and worst bathroom in NY State) was a genius touch - we'll all miss you, dude. Godfather of an era. RIP. GBGB 4 Ever!

Never could afford to fly over from the UK back then to see it for myself so had to make do with reading about it in the British music press and to see and hear the acts when they came over to play the venues (Blondie, Iggy Pop , Talking Heads , Ramones ) I did get to visit the building when it became an clothes shop though. Thanks for making the doc I enjoyed watching it.

CBGBs opened in December 1973 and Closed two months before it's 33 anniversary in October 2006. The owner and creator of CBGBs died 10 months after it closed due to lung cancer.

You'd have to walk on the corners of your shoes to go to the bathroom, otherwise the piss and toilet water on the floor would penetrate tour Chuck Taylors. Combat boots became popular and useful there. Plus Hilly's dog really did poop on the floor. But the soundman would make an amazing live tape of you band for a few cold Budweiser's. I loved the place! The money wasn't an issue if you didn't expect any!

I saw Patti Smith at the cbgb theater on 2nd Ave, it was New Years eve and to be honest, the show was so boring we left after a few songs. Driving home that night 4 of us saw a USO, which was a UFO that came out of the Raritan River. None of us were drunk or high, the roads were empty because it was around midnight, that damn USO followed us into Sayreville where we parked by a small lake, got out of our car and looked up at it, none of us remember anything else until we all woke up the next morning in our respective beds. Strange night 😳

The art of making fun of people without them realizing it, who knew I was TROLLING! Join me for look back in time and a humorous sociological exploration of NYC. My VIEDOS from NYC in the 90’s taped for my local cable access show are timeless and still very funny. Watch as I interact with the public as THE most unique MAN ON THE STREET. Investigate pop and trash culture with me as I explore the urban landscape. See the real “New Yawk” and some of the most sarcastic people ever! .

I'm a huge Ramones fan and i don't think The Ramones were a punk band at all. They are just a great American rock n roll band. The "punk" label belongs to those British bands that came after them.
