Was Gambit Labs worth the effort?

Thank you so much for the support! I seriously want some feedback on Gambit Labs. Is it worth the continued experimenting? Should it go in the DCV? What do you like about it? What do you dislike?

I think invasion swap was probably the best version of Gambit this season, even above the normal version. It made alot more sense that at certain thresholds the opposition gets a chance to slow you down rather than invasions having the potential to just constantly gatekeep progress by cleaning out teams that havent deposited yet.

Labs definitely has potential to test improvements for Gambit. Invasion Swap was great because it made matches more fair. Invaders were more of a catch up mechanic for the losing team than a boogeyman that drowns the enemy team underwater. Though I think it would be better if the Invasion penalty was removed since the enemy team can completely deny an Invasion by banking 60 motes while staying at 20. Mote Thief does bring up a good idea, but kinda missed the mark. It gave Invaders more options to their tool kit and play style by giving them a separate objective. Problem is that this version forced them out into the open where they would be a huge target to a Gjallarhorn or Izanagi shot, so most people never went for Mote Stealing and instead tried to use heavy spamming like normal unless they ran Ward of Dawn. I’m glad Bungie is actually working on Gambit and not ignoring it like it’s a lost cause. Me and many others actually enjoy it and want to see it improve. Maybe next time, they can test changes for other roles, like Collector and Sentry.

I've gotten 2 of them to drop...first one was within a couple days of it being introduced, and it's installed on my glaive...wanted to use the 2nd one on my striga, but it doesn't have a memento slot 😕

Your video proves that if Bungie just give us desirable loot in Gambit we would play it’s game mode. Give us adept weapons and exclusive gambit armor with 5 mod slots in a competitive Gambit playlist.
