Daniel is amazing isn’t it. In recent times I am thinking that Daniel 7 has a deeper dimension than just a repeat of Dan 2. We have seen the west wind blowing in the last few years and here with the efforts of Iran we see the east wind at work. I’m trying to imagine being a boat on the sea with winds coming from four directions at once. So dangerous! Try something. Get a Middle East map and colour in Iran, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon - all now under Iranian influence (you might add Azerbaijan also) and then rotate your map 90 degrees clockwise. What do you see? Then re-read Dan 7:4. Nose on Israel. Mouth on Jordan. With the US gone from Afghanistan Iran could extend a leg of influence into those western provinces to ‘raise up on one side’. I hope you enjoy your book.
