My dad knew the Bible forwards and backwards. He could quote scripture any scripture. You could describe something or say a word or two of that scripture, and he would know exactly where it was found in the Bible. That is definitely a gift from God. I doubt it. Too much cherry picking and too much ignoring of massive amounts of evidence that dispute the bible, koran, torah etc etc. A tsunami of evidence is just a term oozing copium. There's no doubt about much of the history from around 2000 to 3000yrs ago, coz much of it was a matter of record by the Romans etc. It's all the other weird stuff that ppl take issue with. Just because one thing is true, doesn't mean the rest of it is factual. Though I am glsd that the Jews are stickin it to the Muslims about that temple.

It's not just to satisfy human curiosity. That is a grave misunderstanding of the purpose behind biblical archeology. There are prophecies in the Psalms and Isaiah that connects God's Work with bible archaeology in the last days. It is not a coincidence that relics were recently found from the period where the Jews were taken into Babylonian slavery. The same thing is going to happen to Judah in the future, and for the same reason!

IMHO: This interview was very good in many ways. The thought occurred to me that in your discussion of the archeology finds confirming not only the existence of the characters and rulers of biblical times but also the historical evidence of the people, how they lived, and where they lived as these factors are intertwined together. Going on 78 yrs. of age for years I have had a keen interest in those archeology finds and what they implied or outright proof of what scripture tells us. I find that if I did not have that keen interest in this subject matter my walk with the Lord would be somewhat deficient. I enjoyed this interview very much because the 2 of you nicely synthesized the concrete archeological finds and what scripture states as having happened. God Bless!

In our Anti-God world of today... these evidences are so important.... I was given the gift of time.... I stumbled onto programs like this, people who God has chosen in their fields of work/service that brought me to the 100% understanding of God's existence, that Christ died on the cross for me and the Holy Spirit is a real person made to guide me, I am still amazed by it all. “The canon is closed.” Big statement. The door was closed at the end of Revelation with the declaration that there would be no further or new revelation till Revelation itself was concluded. (My paraphrase). The Ethiopian Bible has long contained 77 books, with the Roman Catholic Bible containing 73 books, and Protestant Bibles winnowed down from the 4th or 5th century to 66 books. Some of the ideas used to determine canonicity are a bit arbitrary and short sighted to my mind. The Apocalypse of Peter, the Book of Enoch, the Epistle of Barnabas are just a few that deserve greater attention. The Ethiopian an Catholic Bibles include all or some of these extra canonical books, and provide a a deeper base, richer tapestry of early Christianity without sacrificing Biblical truth.

There may be archeological proof that people in the Bible really existed, and that their structures, cultures, societies etc. existed. We already knew that. The Egyptians, the Romans, the Greeks. It only shows that humans are good at writing stories.
