Sadly in Australia many of these bit the dust. Being the quickest learner bike well into the 2000's didn't help that either! Probably why they made so many of them but they are so hard to find in good condition these days. They are a great fun bike though. Ride safe and Subscribe! 😂

I call these Frankenstein bikes. Once these bikes go on the market, you could hear the manufacturers scream: "What have we done?" Bikes like this one, or the cbr/vfr400 with their gear driven cams or their single swingarms will never be on sale again. Or Suzuki with its Rgv250 gamma.. Buy one while they are still available.

Beautiful filming, I like your review very much. 5:16 Honda factory came with 140/60 rear, which has few options now. Bridgestone Battlax BT92 and Dunlop α-14 are options here. Some people use 140/70 size because there is less choices.

Nice review. I ride an MC19 and it's the most fun you can have with your clothes on! I thought the 22 red lined at 19,000? (Just a tad more than the 19 at 18,000) and the rider wasn't getting anything out of this bad boy! They demand to be ridden hard to get that ultimate F1 sound.

Great video. Wish the onboard video included some zero to motorway speed launches. I test rode one. I didn’t buy because my legs couldn’t get comfortable. Got a VTR250 instead. These old bikes ooze character and desirable fuel efficiency. They lack suspension and ABS brakes of a modern bike. Not suited to every day city riding but great as a second bike for fine weather I guess or a country road blast. Great video!!
@CompleteRider2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the good vibes Michael. I would have loved to ride it for the on board footage myself but it' s not my place to demand a ride, I'm just happy he let me film it. I have ridden plenty of them before though, as I say they are great to rev out but you are not going warp speed and get locked up. But no where as fast as my RVF400 or VFR400 but rev they do. I love the VTR250 and I've ridden both the carby and EFI versions. In fact before LAMS came in for Australian Learners the VTR was my favorite beginners bike by far. The riding position suits me well and with a pipe they sound cool as well. Thanks again for watching, stay safe and subscribe!

According to an oscilliscope test from the spark unit output to the coils using a voltage divider circuit , it was calculated at 16,900 being read just before the ignition started to cut signal due to the ROM chip clock frequency like the boot up chips on early PC's . This was done with a friend with a degree in electronics & a motorcycle mechanic's qualification in his workshop . Be careful because Honda & Yamaha have been guilty of overstating the figures on their motorcycles as part of a "sales push" . I saw a media release about this in 1991 .
