I'm 67 and reside in the Great state of Texas, however from the years of '83 to '90, I lived outdoors in California and Nevada, and had no other media available except radio, and on many long and lonely nights I rejoiced in listening to late night programs that would fade in and out and kept me in suspense in more ways than y'all might realize! Thanks to programs like this great one here, makes me appreciate these stories all that much more! ( And they don't fade out), so, thanks and God bless from Paris tx.4/3/24

I’m afraid “I’m “ the only one that fades in and out now, but love listening to these still !🫠

Where did you live/camp? Sounds like an interesting story
@MichaelHards-rn6ee8 ай бұрын
@@junipercreekranch9791 It was an adventure for sure! After separation from my wife in Nevada, I quit renting and ended up camping in my car on State Park unimproved camp site on the way to Tahoe, with a creek running through it providing me with water for drinking and bathing. There was a plank someone had set across the water so you could hold on to it and dip into the water get out, scrub down and dip to rinse... Mind you this was snow melt from the Sierra's, brrr..If you'd like me to continue, just say the word! Thanks for asking

I'm loving these stories. Seems like I'm busier in my permanently unemployable status than I was when I was still sometimes employable. (Retirement implies enough discretionary income, and a couple of people to share it with, to enjoy getting around a bit. Hehehe, fat chance.) It's lovely to be piled up all clean and tidy here in my comfortable bed listening to engaging stories. The only time I can actually relax and enjoy the home I work so hard to keep going is after 11 pm, then I get hooked and next time I notice the time is as dawn approaches. Wash, rinse, repeat. I do have a mustang I'm trying to tame well enough to allow me to ride him, meanwhile, a thing of beauty is truly a joy forever. Thanks for handing me such a nice escape after the poop and excitement of my days. 🏇😁

Hope you and Smokey have pleasant dreams tonight !☺🙏❤ I will finally have a whole afternoon tomorrow for just myself, so I’m going to read ! 🫠

Good to hear! We are doing alright. This year is the first I’ve started to really feel my age a little and I have taken note. I’m slowing down a little, it comes to all of us, and I will listen to my body. Take care, my good friend ! I’m always just a “reply” away. 🤗@@GeminiladyJackson-xq6hc

Thanks for asking about my husband and I. We’ve been feeling a little less tired now that we can finally get out on our long walks on the conservation trails. We decided to wait until all the slippery ice was gone. We both find that walking makes us feel more energetic , and one doesn’t need to do long walks - even short ones can invigorate one. Take care, my dear !☺
