Fred Gwynne died of complications from pancreatic cancer in 1993 at age 66. Fred is buried in an unmarked grave at Sandy Mount United Methodist Church Cemetery in Finksburg, Maryland. He will always be remembered as Herman Munster on the sitcom, The Munsters.

That is something I never knew. I know of three people from my own life that died from that, and they all were heavy smokers. I didn’t know about the connection. That is very interesting. 🫠@@GeminiladyJackson-xq6hc

Fun Fact: Fred Guinn was actually a Frankenstein A I actor. However, in the movie My Cousin Vinny, he was resurrected to play the judge. He made his name in the TV series The Munsters. (bored yet?)

03-23-24 I absolutely love Terri Keane and Fred Gwynne ! I think everyone agrees, at least about Fred ! Loved his different characterizations ! Listening tonight, with extra pleasure, from Southern Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦, 43* N. “Two short beers” for one tall man ! Hope everyone is well, has a good evening and very pleasant dreams ! It would have been great to have met these wonderful voice actors. I would really have liked to have been present for one of their script readings for the final recording. Really would have liked to meet Fred ! Looking forward to the slightly warmer weather we’re supposed to get next week. 🙏❤🫠 Good night all !

Hello, Gemi, I was wondering if you ever came across V.C. Andrew’s book “Flowers In The Attic” ? She wrote a number of them that continued on from the first one. I think you might like them. Not sure, but I think they were written in the ‘80’s and continued on.

@@lynnrobinson8885I didn't read the book but I saw the movie version on television a few months ago. The movie was very creepy.

Always love Fred Gwynne. Due to Sjogren's syndrome, EPI, etc, I worry about pancreatic cancer. Fred suffered from acromegaly just like West Virginia native Ted Cassidy, who played Lurch on The Addams Family.

Gwynne sang in a Hallmark Hall of Fame production, The Littlest Angel (1969) and later played important parts in the Broadway revival of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof (1974), Our Town (1975) at the American Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford, Connecticut, and A Texas Trilogy (1976), again on Broadway.

Nestled as we are on 3/23/24 from a quieter corner of the world in the tumbled Hills of N'west WI, attention is given toward another selection of sleep inducing mysteries from the vast inventory of Nightfalls OTR collection. I'd like to think they're stowed away in a secreted hidden closet behind a scary full length floor mirror similar to the one in my G'ma's attic bedroom...you know, the one where you can hear all the bats in the walls! Eesch!! G'nite all, and may the attic be with you.

Fred attended the exclusive prep school Groton, where he first appeared on stage in a student production of William Shakespeare's "Henry V". After serving in the United States Navy as a radioman during World War II, he went on to Harvard, where he majored in English and was on the staff of the "Harvard Lampoon".

My recent comment to you was just to let you know I appreciate the type of work you do. It ‘s not something many people could do, or want to do. I have always appreciated the people who do the work you do because it does require real empathy towards those you work with. Sorry I wasn’t clearer.
