Paul Hecht, the star of tonight's story, was heard in 138 episodes of CBS Radio Mystery Theater. Paul has extensive Broadway and TV credits. He was president of the New York Chapter of the Screen Actors Guild from 1991-1995. Paul Hecht is still alive at age 82.

Tammy Grimes has the most deliciously familiar voice....British and royal, properly unstable....like a vinyl record on a turn table, a little left of center, with enough snaps, crackles and pop for the audience to apply their official stamp of Authenticity. She is the reason I tuned into this episode !!!! Thank you so much!!!!! How delightful! Inspector Charles Dickens of Scotland Yard! The very thing.....😮

There is some survivors of radio mystery theater that are still alive like Tammy Grimes she loves when people remember her she seemed to be 83❤ I often like to look at the pictures of the people from the past they had such incredible histories and voices

03-12-24 Listening from Southern Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦, 43* N. We made it to 62* today, and currently 49*. More of the same for tomorrow. Another G. Frederick Lewis story - he was amazingly well read to attempt such a story - well done!. 🥛and very soft and moist oatmeal-raisin cookies 🍪are my snack tonight for my bedtime story, as I listen with all of you. My Grandmother’s recipe ( the raisins are soaked in one cup of very hot and strong coffee for three hours beforehand). They were referred to as “Big Softies” in the 1930’s. Hope everyone is well, has a good evening and pleasant dreams ! 🙏❤🫠 Another good story, and very good voice actors ! Once again, I thank you, Sir Edge for providing these !
