Years ago.. our infant grandson Tj, who had yet to say his first word, kept making the strangest sound and waving his hands at me. Clearly wanting something. I tried giving him things which he pushed away, again making the strange sound and babbling. Puzzled, we'd been trying to figure out what he wanted for quite a while, when suddenly his Grampa bursts into laughter!! "WHAT, You figured it out?" I say as he nods yes, trying to catch his breath. WHAT?? "He's.. It's... The Creaking DOOR"! He says "He's doing the " .. And sure enough. I ran to my PC, loaded a story. Soon as it started Tj starts bouncing and clapping as he "Crrreeaks" with joy. He just turned 18 and we still listen, huddled together on cold nights.
