06-17-24 Listening from Southern Ontario, Canada, N. 43*. Temp today was 93*, currently 90* now, with more severe weather warnings. Lots of noisy low rumblings, just now. The sky opened this afternoon and emptied itself. Watched the “ lightening bugs” ( fire flies ) in the evening tonight , blinking in and out of the daisies and lavender bushes. There is not one breeze, not a single movement anywhere - not a single leaf trembles . The humidity pervades, day after day, and just changing one’s mind tires one out. More of the same is expected near the latter part of the week. So, I gave in and decided to have a good helping of French Vanilla ice cream, with chocolate soft-shell drizzled lavishly. Only decent thing to do at times like these. Sleep well and dream cool, sweet, delicious dreams. Night, all ! 🙏❤🫠 (hope you are keeping cool, F.). 🙂

@@catherine4092 Hi, Catherine ! How is everything ? Yes, my husband and I have a son. We have been together 41 years. I’m so glad that we have the son we do. He is thoughtful, loves to memorize tongue twisters ( I don’t know why, other than he tries to out-do me when he wants me to say them). He loves to try to make me laugh. He’s a very good artist, and my husband is as well. We had a good Father’s Day, and I made a lovely meal. My son loves chicken and dumplings so I made that, and my “ lemon brownies” for him and my husband. He is married to a wonderful girl, who works in a senior’s home here in town. My son plays guitar, loves to read philosophy, and loves going for walks around town and the botanical gardens for up to three hours. He is 6’2”” and very lean. They have two kittens, no children. Just hasn’t worked out, but all is good! How about you? Do you have a Honey? Talk soon, take care, dear! 🙏❤🫠🇨🇦☺😺😺

We’ve had very hot weather these last three days, high 90’s - 98* today ! No cooking these last few days, just sandwiches and cold potato salad I made. “German Potato Salad”.Hope your weather is better ! ☺

Can’t remember the last time I’ve seen fireflies! Generally, it’s too dry in Colorado for them!

@@brianzimmer5532 You probably also don’t see May Flies (or “fish” flies, as we called them, by their smell). They show up in the spring, or early June). You aren’t missing anything there! There is definitely more fire-flies 🙂this year than in a long time.
