Rebecca was the nicest celebrity I ever met and she was so down to earth! What a shame that creeps down kill themselves instead of innocent people that don't deserve it!

Did you actually meet her?

She was so young there! Just 20! It's a sad thing that happened to her. She was a sweetheart, and super cute!

The pets, not the relatives. Rebecca can be funny by just being herself. Thanks for posting this. It's nice to see footage of Rebecca. There's not a whole lot of clips of her on youtube so this was very nice to see. I'm going to check out parts two and three now. :)

This tape came very close to being erased only a few years ago, but I changed my mind at the last minute, just in case I could find a use for it...

Its such a horrible thing that happened to her, getting murdered by an obsessed stalker. She had so much poential so much going for her.. So peppy and had a beautiful smile. She is the Reason that California prompted the passage of anti-stalking laws in California. RIP Rebecca

Rebecca Schaefer was just starting out. It is a shame that her life was cut short by a darn stalker.

The real irony is that Rebecca's "My Sister Sam" co-star should have been hosting this particular parade, since it is actually she who is from the Detroit area.

Thanks for posting this. I hope that more footage of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade from 1987 gets posted in the future. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I missed it that year.

What a bright light tragically snuffed out way to early. To this day this saddens me.

I've read several accounts of her murder. They all mention that his older brother purchased and provided the gun, yet none of them say anything about that brother facing any charges or consequences. HUH?!

I feel a bit of shame for having violent instincts. It doesn't solve a thing and would be stooping to his level. But, when I think of what happened, I want at least 10 minutes with the slime ball that did that to her. But, it is nice to see these clips of happy times in Rebecca's life.

The 90 minute Morning Program would be replaced that Monday by This Morning, which was a full two hours.

She was suppose to be on the godfather part 3 , but it didn't happen she to her untimely death
@randyventresca41527 жыл бұрын
She was going to audition for Godfather 3. She had an interview scheduled with Francis Ford Coppola. It was speculated that Rebecca could have thought the slime ball (I don't even want to broadcast his name) was a courier bringing her the script to her apartment that morning. That may be why she originally came down the apartment house stairs when he rang the bell. The intercom was broke. Anyway, Rebecca's mother became an advocate for gun control and The Brady Bill back in the early 90's (the killer was actually too young to buy a gun at that time. So, he got his older brother to buy it for him (called a "straw purchase"). But, Rebecca had such a sweet, fun personality. It really comes out in this parade clip.
