Nuyen and Shatner were on Broadway in The World of Suzie Wong, opening in October 1958. And it's good to see Robinson not chew up the scenery and still get his character across.

Theiss was the one who designed the costumes. The "Theiss Titillation Theory" states that, for a costume to be sexy, the amount of skin wasn't the primary factor; instead, it must look like the slightest disturbance will cause it to fall off. And indeed, a lot of these costumes simply wouldn't have held on their own. As a result, they had to use a lot of tape to keep them on the girls.

I watched an old an episode of the old Kung Fu TV series that aired in 1974 where France Nuyen & William Shatner were portrayed as husband and wife. France did not look hot or cute anymore even though she was in nice clothes and wearing makeup for the character. She looked like she was around age 45 or so (lost weight/bony in the face). I was shocked to find out since she was born in 1939 France was only about age 35 when that episode aired.

Excellent episode, and introduced the design of the Klingon D 7 battle cruser, created by Walter Matt Jefferies. Loved this episode, also looks much better in the aired 60's version than that enhanced stuff they came out with.
