I cried the first time I saw this, despite the " laugh track " in the background. Can't really explain why. I'm about the same age as those kids, who would now be well into their fifties. When I was a child, I had a similar experience with my beloved Los Angeles Lakers, when I got to go into the locker room before a game and meet Jerry West and Gail Goodrich. And, well, I guess I was reminded of a simpler, more innocent time.

In "Growing Up Brady: I Was a Teenage Greg", Barry Williams wrote that during one take of the driveway scene where Joe is saying goodbye to the Bradys, Florence Henderson (who was nuts about Joe) flung herself into Joe's arms. She pleaded, "Take me with you, Joe! I can't stand this family!" Joe, staying in character, replied, "Sure, Mrs. Brady." and carried her down the driveway.

RIP #17 Kevin Araki (as a child) died in Juneau AK shortly after his 60th birthday, Aug 2021, accident in Alaska. Such a humble guy - he knew I was a huge Hollywood fan and never mentioned he was in this episode with Joe Namath. 🙏

I remember when I first saw this episode… Only one week later we were staying at a hotel and they had trivia and one of the questions was about a football player and this was in the mid 90s my dad said it’s a Joe Namath… I said no way that you can’t be Joe Namath he was on the Brady Bunch😂

I remember when I saw Joe Namath on TV at the start of the Superbowl. I think it's when he was doing the coin toss. I'm thinking, "He's still alive?! I thought he died years ago!" It was because he kept such a low profile that I assumed he was dead. Now of course I see him on the Medicare commercials a lot!

When Bobby's friends were bragging about their fathers having met superstars, when they asked him if he knew anyone, he could have told them that Don Drysdale was once at their house, and that his father designed the house that he was probably still living in. His friends who were bragging obviously never met any of those superstars themselves, which meant that Bobby was one up on them. At least he would have been telling the truth.
