Also the fast rings you used on speaker are open cell foam, and seriously don't do much, as a high end installer you ought to know this stuff. Would think that MDF is more innert to vibration and more suitable for a bass enclosure unless you make the fibre glass seriously thick. Just to be clear so we aren't misunderstanding, the fans should be configured so that one pair draws cool air INTO the amp rack as an "intake", and the 2nd pair of fans Exhaust the warm air OUT of the amp rack in a continuous flow. If both pairs of fans are configured so that they all push air into the amp rack, it will create positive pressure environment with very little air movement and will not remove and exhaust the heat from the amp rack efficiently.

Pouring water into an MDF enclosure was just for dramatic effect because MDF itself is not waterproof so you pour enough water into it even if it was airtight at one point the water just destroyed the MDF to the point that it would absorb into the MDF and leak right through. There are other ways of measuring volume without using water. Dry materials like sand or silicate would have served the same purpose without destroying the MDF. One thing that wasn’t mentioned that looks like might have been a consideration in the original design was not to make permanent modifications to the car like drilling holes into metal panels and making it easily removable. That may have been why the sun enclosure and amp rack was done that way. It still wasn’t done well but it could explain the lack of bolted down items.
@CambridgeCarAudio23 күн бұрын
Yes, but still shows the amount of gaps, we seal the inside of an MDF box which would have held the water. The original request was to have a good safe sound. The box was flopping around, and things we not secured.

@CambridgeCarAudio I've seen many horror installs just like this one, and all of them had the same thing in common: Audison Hertz equipment. Looking very close at the install I think I can even name the shop that done that atrocity. Some people just need to find out the hard way, unfortunately. Well done fixing it.

Hello ! After watching your video I have some things to say. First I wanted to say that I like how JP does his job, he is pretty good and passionate ! Congrats to him ! Also for his marriage ! But now the bad things : you have serious issues with the sound deadening(more like lack of deadening) : 1. no 2 nd layer in the outer door pannel, not even after the midbase ! , 2. you did't put any deadening on the middle door ! You didn't even sealed the holes fron the doors with sound deadening ! Wtf, you will loose a lot of midbase ! 3. the floor needs a 2nd and 3rd layer or at least a sandwitch type material over the vibro 1st layer that you put. I'm sure that you charged the client a lot and you made a lot of econommy sound deadening the car. I made my car myself and with the ammount of materials I put in it I bet you would have made 3 cars lol ! :))

As a profesional audio shop you should know than instaling midbass speakers into flimsy door doesnt imrpove the midbass.Worse location for midbass!You can use as many soundeadening material you like to make the door rigid but the sound never will be good!Im surprise you dont know that!!!You are far behind PS SOUND!!!far far.

You still used mdf for the face of the sub box so water tight my arse and your wiring to the amps and the DSP is shocking Tessa tape isn't the answer if you can't get your wiring correctly hidden. And fitting a mobridge would have fixed you problems you say you had. It also looks like the customer had the first company put it in on a budget I noticed nothing was said why you say about the sound quality. I bet you didn't Evan check if the speakers where in phase and the DSP set correctly at the start
@Niclas02993 ай бұрын
Same thought here. For me it looks like it was a tuning issue. The pillars are completely fine I don’t see the value for completely redoing them. The sub box could have been sealed easily. Put in dampening material to simulate a larger box. Ok the deadening was poor and the overall install isn’t great but it is still better than everything I have got here in Munich Germany. As soon as you start to do it by yourself you start to think about it differently e.g that there are cheaper more efficient options. This is a great install dont unterstand me wrong but it is way to expensive 😂 and the problems could have been solved so much easier.
@CambridgeCarAudio3 ай бұрын
Yes that all got checked 😂
@CambridgeCarAudio3 ай бұрын
That’s not true, padding inside a box only helps so much, you can’t get away from the box was so small for what it required it to be and also the apillars weren’t fine as they were hanging off, the speakers weren’t secure and they weighed too much for the small clips holding it on
@0togtr8113 ай бұрын
@@christophergettings9159 they don't know what they are doing and I've seen them graduating from the university of KZbin. Tessa tape is for protecting the wire not making it look good. Who wants to look at a taped wire and say ' yes that looks awesome'. The factory users Tessa tape to protect their wiring through the vehicle in the places you CAN NOT SEE.
