It might not be useful to you but it is to a lot of people. People rely on their religions for their everyday lives. All churches, temples, mosques and anything else should be respected and cherished by people.

By the way, I see no reason to respect or disrespect buildings. WORDS HAVE MEANINGS. Buildings are not worthy of either respect or disrespect. Either they serve a purpose or not. What I'm arguing about is that if catholicism is in frank decline, the building should be used for something MORE INCLUSIVE, like a hospital, a library, a school, a university, a sports facility, etc., your choice...
