Jordan said something that was very touching. He said he would have loved to be in competition against him but the more he got to know him he would have loved him as a teammate. Ultimate sign of respect❤❤❤

Celtic fan for life, but I always respected Wilt and Jerry, and felt bad for them when we beat them. The guy won the finals MVP on the losing team, who else ever did that? Then he put Showtime together and beat my Celtics Also Kobe and Shaq. The Celts went up 3 games tonight on Dallas, but I couldn't enjoy it as much as I usually would because of the death of an icon. R.I.P Mr. Clutch!

Saw him at a Long Beach State game in the mid 80's when he was there to scout Morlon Wiley from LBS and Brian Shaw from UCSB. We were up in the stands and he was down on the floor talking with some people pre-game and it's like what Jim was saying -West had an aura around him. He kind of glowed. lol. I have a bad memory but I remember that. I can even remember what he was wearing which was this turtleneck shirt.

Jim Hill has been around a long time. This is a very objective evaluation of Jerry West. The alienation of Jerry West by the current Lakers' management is a tragedy, and the biggest mistake in the history of the Lakers franchise.

Also "Zeke from Cabin Creek" as another SoCal great, Chick Hearn would label Jerry. Another saying from Chick would say a about Jerry's play, "faked into the popcorn machine." A great era has passed of the glory years for this area.

Disgraceful foul treatment by current playboy model lakers ownership. The late doctor buss would have been infuriated by the outcast treatment.
