Irrelevant. GZ followed TM after police and dispatch told him to stop. He continued to follow TM. When he did that, he put himself in harms way, and that is the definition of manslaughter, literally. Should've also been a retrial also because the jury all females does not represent the population at all.

@@ryand141He wasn’t “told to stop” by the police; it was a non-emergency 911 dispatcher and dispatchers are legally forbidden to give orders to people for liability purposes. Your argument for manslaughter is also wrong; manslaughter is when you do something dangerous that a normal person would expect to cause death. No sane person could make the argument that Zimmerman looking for Martin would’ve resulted in a killing.

Did CBS cover all of the times the media got it wrong? Like how from the start, they announced that a neighborhood watch guy was seen punching a teenaged kid, and then shot him? (The witnesses said that they saw the teen football player punching the shorter, older, fatter guy, who he had pinned to the ground) Or how they said that Zimmerman hadn't been injured? (Until the photos that police took of his injuries was released) Or how the media said that the voice on the 9/11 call in the background was Trayvon yelling for help? (It turned out to be Zimmerman) Or how the media said that Zimmerman had uttered a racial slur on his 9/11 call? (CNN later said that when they had a professional clean it up, and they listened back to it, it sounded like "cold") Or how Zimmerman supposedly chased down Trayvon, who he had lost, and then confronted him? (Which doesn't even make sense, since there was no way he could have caught up with Trayvon.) Or did this story just focus on the family, activists, and everything except the actual facts of the case that proved that Zimmerman was having the crap beat out of him when he shot someone who was on top of him, trying to slam his head into the concrete, as he yelled for help and the police... who wouldn't stop even after the neighbors told him to?

You also forgot about how a NBC affiliate redacted portions of the 911 call to make it sound as though GZ had racially profiled Martin. Specifically, they edited out the part where the dispatcher asked GZ what the suspect looked like ( _”Is he white? Black? Hispanic?”_ ) and made it sound as though Zimmerman had said _”This guy, he looks like he’s on drugs, he’s up to no good. He looks Black”_ Journalists are such repulsive people, they truly are.

If I remember correctly, George Zimmerman didn't use the "Stand your ground" law, his defense used self defense claim. Also, it's nice to play the recording of the operator saying "We don't need you to follow him," but in that case it wouldn't be amiss to also play the next part where it is clear that Zimmerman stopped the following. Also a hypothetical question comes to my mind when watching this. If we swapped the races of the main protagonists in this story, would be the reaction of the African American community to the verdict the same?

8:51--- No, the system is intact and operates correctly. Your children were breaking the law, living in ways that were inviting danger, not respecting Authority, lying, cheating, stealing, etc. The system is therebto protect the INNOCENT not to give cover for the UNrepentant guilty. The true tragedy is that black America (not all) is not willing to be responsible and accountable for your own actions yet you expect everyone else to be responsible and accountable for their actions. Okay so we are all responsible for our own actions and if you raise your children to be a heinous rebellious animal who has no respect for authority and tramples all over what the Holy Bible teaches then why would you be shocked when their life ends in such a way? The cognitive dissonance is stupefying.

@@pdumpsterful George Zimmerman made poor choices, this child was just walking home after going to the store. Zimmerman made the poor choice to follow him. I am sure the fact that he was armed played a major role in that decision. His emergency was " a guy walking slowly in the rain, that was up to no good". The McMichaels emergency was a black man running down the street. Both "emergencies" was a poor decisions, it was just one jury had courage, the other one did not. The loss of any life is sad, especially one that has only had 17 years worth. I have a black son and 4 black grandsons that could walk home from a store, or jog through a neighborhood or even look or whistle at a white woman. Aparrently that is not a fear that you have to concern yourself with.
@pdumpsterful
@pdumpsterful 2 жыл бұрын
@@janicethomas3278 I would agree with you if that is what happened but Zimmerman didn't follow him. Zimmerman saw Trayvon hanging around in people's yards and looking at the houses and wasn't trying to get out of the rain so he thought that was suspicious. Instead of confronting Trayvon he did the right thing by calling for help on the non emergency police line. Zimmerman observed him from his truck and that's when Trayvon came back to check out Zimmerman and circle his truck. Then Trayvon ran away and that's when Zimmerman left his truck to see where Trayvon went. When Trayvon ran away he was only 20sec away from home. Minutes elapse after Zimmerman hung up with non emergency and that's when Trayvon hung around and turned back to confront Zimmerman and then attack. Trayvon was looking for a fight. He made stupid choices that cost him his life. If he had been raised better things might have turned out differently. It's very very sad
@janicethomas3278

@@pdumpsterful It behooves me how you make statements that are not facts. Trayvon never siad he circled Zimmerman's truck. Trayvon never said he was 20 seconds away from home. Trayvon never said he was not in a hurry to get home out of the rain. So if Trayvon never said those things than how can anyone be sure that they are correct. Maybe he was not afraid of the rain, saw no reason to rush. His hoodie might have been all he needed to protect him from the light drizzle. Now here are the facts, Trayvon had been to the. store on Sunday evening. Purchased candy and a soda, had no weapon, belonged in the neighborhood. Like any other teen age boy talking to girl on the phone. Had Zimmerman not made the poor choice to think he was up to no good he would have made it home safely. Zimmerman on the other hand, would not have killed him, and made his own life miserable. If you and Zimmerman both had been raised with the Love of God, he would have seen Trayvon as a young boy whose life mattered, and you would not have written this horrible post. There IS a lot to be said about the way one is raised!

If you look at a map of the housing complex when Trayvon ran away you can see that he was only 20sec away from home. After the phone call ended it was several minutes before Trayvon attacked Zimmerman. It's obvious he hung around to confront Zimmerman and attack. There are many injustices that continue to this day, but the injustices that are ignored today and plaguing black Americans today are harming them today more-so than actual racism (today). Holding up Trayvon Martin as an innocent kid who was murdered "for being black" is an injustice. It is an injustice because it is a false narrative based on an absence of evidence AND it ignores the evidence that contradicts the narrative. Calling every high-profile incident racist results in nothing being racist. What this means is that when actual racism occurs, it goes unnoticed because we can no longer distinguish between actual racism and something that isn't actual racism. There is a MOUNTAIN of evidence in Zimmerman/Martin case, yet few people are willing to learn the actual evidence. Why? It's because the actual evidence disrupts the (false) narrative. If this continues, and it has ever since this incident occurred 11 years ago, then black people will continue to be viewed as helpless victims (even by themselves) and white people will be viewed as racists. White liberals will perpetuate the black victimhood, and white conservatives will NOT continue to put up with it. Race relations will continue to decline, not get better.

They are STILL Crying Wolf, saying "he was shot and killed while walking home." No, he was committing assault and battery with a deadly weapon on a neighborhood watchman, after LEAVING home when his baby-momma kicked him out. And it is SO GHETTO, when black women point their finger up like that while talking.

The saddest thing about what happened to Trayvon Martin was that years later there's racists who come online to social media and accuse this child of being the aggressor when the 911 call clearly indicates that it was George Zimmerman who approached him. This was a grown man with anger issues who attacked someone's child. Let that sink in. Zimmerman was found not guilty but how, I will never understand seeing as how the child he attacked was unarmed. He had a cellphone, a can of tea, and a bag of skittles. Nobody's child should ever have to be taken from them for a bag of skittles, or a can of tea, or a cellphone. Hoodies are not evil. Lots of people wear them. Once upon a time, our society attacked the elderly and the poor, and the females of our community accusing them of "witchcraft". What will be societies excuse for attacking minorities? Hate leads to dehumanization and after that, the dehumanization of oneself becomes a lot easier only, people often make the excuses but call them reasons...even though there's nothing reasonable about this behaviour. Here's the truth, hate is an expression of the evil that lies within. So if your hatred is showing, you might want to see to that. ✝️🕊📖🕯📚🌹✝️🕊📖🕯📚🌹 God bless Trayvon Martin. 💕 Rest in peace, angel. 🌹 And may God bless his family. 🌹

He asked the guy what he was doing in his apartment complex that had the cops there 400 times in the past year for shootings, robberies, burglaries and break-ins. 10 years ago #TrayvonMartin This happened 10 minutes down the road from my old place. It seems like yesterday that this happened to Trayvon Martin. The city was touched by this tremendously. I don't talk much about it because it's a pain that awakens in my heart hearing about this again. The energy the city of Sanford, Florida was very moving to see many different backgrounds of race come together marching downtown at Fort Mellon Park was like a Justice-Civil Rights March was moving. You could feel the spirit of Trayvon Martin wanting justice and unity but that judgement day of hearing the words not guilty failed so many people in Sanford, Florida. Add this story to the history book of Sanford, Florida! Trayvon Martin never forgotten! Long Live Trayvon Martin!
