Evangelical influencer Lance Wallnau joins "The Takeout" to discuss his efforts to mobilize Christians in support of former President Donald Trump candidacy. *Christianity is not about promoting a certain politician for president. Instead, we should be more focused on promoting the name of Jesus Christ.* In fact, I think it may be a sin for Christians to argue about politics. Because if they do, that means they're relying on a mere man to save their country rather than God. Wanna save America? Then spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is only Jesus Christ that can save America. Arguing about politics is not going to change someone's heart. I'm not saying Christians shouldn't vote. But if you hate either Donald Trump or Kamala Harris, then that probably also means that you're placing one of those candidates above God as your savior. Stop that! Only Jesus Christ is the savior, whether it be the savior of your soul or nation. I used to argue about politics, but God has changed me. Now I know the priority is Jesus. It is Jesus Christ that changes hearts and minds. Now I know we need to spread the Gospel instead of spreading politics.

Look how much hatred they have for each other. That's not of God. We are supposed to be one nation under God. But people are letting themselves be divided by Left-versus-Right politics. Wanna save America? Preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is Jesus Christ that is the ultimate answer. Jesus is the savior of our souls. And Jesus is the only one that can save America. And no matter which president gets elected, I should be at peace because God is my provider and protector, and ultimately my eternal home is in heaven with my Lord Jesus Christ. Have a blessed day.

Thanks for having Lance on. I've been listening to him since quite a while before he was talking politics. He's had a lot of great things to say to Christians about engaging in culture and not just sitting on pew benches watching the world go by. We're not talking violence or anything like that... just being involved, engaging, and being more than a spectator. I agree with him. It can be done with integrity and decently, but if we don't stand up and use our voices, we are losing our voices, and we have a right to speak. Some say otherwise while they're benefiting from organizations and community services that Christians began and support with our time, energy and money.

"The kingdom of god" is a fantasy concept created by humans, well, men mostly, to symbolize what they truly want, a male-dominated hierarchy of authoritarian rule in the image of medieval kingdoms, with a lord of the manor, bowing or kneeling before him, and other courtly practices meant to keep people, and especially women and minorities, in their place, subservient, subordinate, obedient and unquestioning. You will undoubtedly remember that ghastly scene in the Oval Office just after Trump was installed in 2021, where a group of evangelical leaders stood around him, heads bowed to him, touching him reverently, praying to him. That is what our founding fathers rebelled against.

Lance is so right. Bonhoeffer also said-You cannot be neutral in the face of evil. To be silent in the face of evil IS evil. I really liked Lance he did a great job. Very articulate. Thanks to Major for doing an honest, no gotchas, interview. Hes an old school interviewer, let's his guests talk and explain their side, and the audience decides for themselves. Kudos to Lance for explaining the Christian perspective about things so well. The second man, a man without a Biblical perspective, doesn't understand what's truly at stake for our Country. He's pushing the fear that Christians, who are Trump followers , will become aggressive and dangerous. Then his talk of them focusing on the areas in the Country that need to be focused upon in this election cycle is no different than what democrats do, they become more active in those areas where they feel they need to focus their energies, to galvanize the voters to vote for their side. But for Christians to do that, it's wrong? He should have stayed around for the evening service and seen the power of God at work, but unfortunately looks like they both left before that. Would have been interesting to see him and Major having a personal encounter with the living God.

If you’re not just playing Christian on Sunday morning, then you must live according to your values. To be able to live your values, you have to vote your values, so the legislator and executive and judiciary will make room for you to live your values. I'm curious as to why one would give credence to the spiritual explanations of someone who does not believe that there are spiritual things going on in politics. If one does believe that the whole of the Bible is true, then one must embrace the truths that are found within it. Lance Walnau spoke on things he knows, whereas your second interview spoke on things he knows nothing about, since he is observing as a critic and not one who wants to understand the Biblical perspective. I am glad that you did fair and unbiased reporting here, though, and hopefully listeners will want to know for themselves if they are indeed missing some vital factors here.

I think churches should be taxed. christians, with the support of their churches, have imposed their religion too much on everybody else. (downside is temples, mosques and every other religious meeting place… would probably also have to pay the same tax)

I totally disagree with Mr. Taylor’s comments about Christian supremacy. He needs to do more research before making such a broad comment about God fearing and country loving people. I completely resonate with all that Wallnue spoke about but I have never believed ,and neither do any of my Christian friends, that we should have special rights or are more supreme than others. He actually came off quite arrogant when saying what he said.

I've always had a problem with the verse and context of "And the violent take it by force". I looked it up in the Strong's Exhaustive Concordance 40 years ago where the Greek etymology defined "violent" as "vigorous or springing forth with energy". Any comment you Greek scholars?
