The US is so varied and so vast. As a former Manhattannite I cannot imagine this in Central Park. When I lived in San Francisco and then LA of course we were under constant drought. Now I live in Seattle and everything is green and lush and we have had rain for 3 days straight. ,, if I could send you some of our rain I would.. Hang in there NYC!

This isn’t a surprise. New York City hasn’t gotten any real rain in the last several weeks. We are in now D2 moderate drought with southern New Jersey being in D3 severe drought.

We New Yorkers are so fortunate never having to worry about water ! I will be more careful washing dishes, shorter showers. I hope it rains soon.

Thank goodness, I already have been practicing SAVE Water methods since the 80s such as..."If you're busy turn that faucet off!!! I also raise all my 4 adult kids on that HOUSE RULE, KNOWING I DIDNT PAY WATER since we've always lived in an apt. but its the consideration of our towns water system. People dont care that far. I did & still do! How much blood will it take out of anyone to move their hand to return that faucet back on? I've seen with my own eyes, friends & neighbors CALLOUSLY leave our NYC water running & running till I go turn it off 4 them! I mean come on New Yorkers! Everyone's gonna start WAILING & FIGHTING 2 GET ALL WATER FROM ANY STORE SOON ENOUGH IF WE IGNORE THIS 2ND WARNING FROM THE MAYORS OFFICE.

May I just state as an aside here - at 0:51 - 0:53 of this clip that is about the most AMAZING capture of the Manhattan skyline I’ve just about ever seen - all the city’s current tallest together in one shot, including 1 WTC which deceptively looks like its packed into the Midtown cluster with the others

Literally, everyday you see planes making cloud seeding trails in NYC. All of a sudden there’s a drout. lol
