Thought that voice sounded familiar. Jack Grimes voiced the characters Sparky and Chim-Chim on the anime cartoon, Speed Racer.

Well the artwork for this story is a werewolf instead of what Jabez described as Windandingo but no matter; it's a darn good picture, kind of like a heraldic beast. Edit: Whoa! I didn't realize Burgoyne was a playwright and I guess I should have known it since I was a Lit major. That caused me to pause the video and look up Burgoyne. I learned that after losing the war in America he aligned with the Rockingham Whigs who favored all sorts of reforms and were sympathetic to the American cause. Interesting man.

My father’s grandmother was full blooded Cherokee. Her parents died on the Trail of Tears and she was adopted by a German family. My husband is one quarter Apache, his grandmother was was Apache with a little Cherokee. We had DNA tests done and it proved the “hidden” facts that wasn’t talked about. We had to use a lab in Canada as they were the only one in the world testing Native American DNA. Interesting story and so important to keep Native American folklore alive.

I was very very interested in what you had to say. My wife ancestor also was lost as a little girl on the trail of tears and ended up raised by missionaries that ended up in the mountains of Kentucky. What you said about a DNA TEST GROUP- that ACTUALLY AND REALLY TESTS FOR NATIVE AMERICANS- I did not know exists. I was so pleasantly surprised. Can you PLEASE give me the name of the Canadian lab? You cannot get correct Native American tested just anywhere-- nearly impossible. Thx hope you can send. All caps for emphasis only, not meant to shout. Request made with all respect.

Listened a few years ago and likely in 1975 and today 5/29/2022. From a quick search I believe Indian tradition called this creature Wendingo.

It's generally called a "Wendigo" I believe.

Yeah I thought that was cute. Btw this voice actor makes Burgoyne sound older than he was at that time.

Almost like the windego but not the same mythology.

I had a Choctaw aunt but she was an in-law, married to my uncle who was white like the rest of my family, so I have no Native tribal blood. Too bad, because she was one of my favorite relatives while the marriage lasted. Haven't seen her in nearly 70 years but I still think of her often.
