So impressed with Mark Pope's coaching ability. The man is very intelligent; walked away from med school to follow his heart. I have to say that I agree with his life choice and he probably doesn't have any regrets.

I'll say what you fellers can't say and I've been saying it for years: Cal was a grifter. Players first? That was BS of the purest ray serene. If Cal had been about players first why was he at Kentucky? He could have done that anywhere including the Boys Club of Pittsburgh. He wasn't about the tradition or the fans by his own admission and by extension therefore not about hanging banners. So what's left? You don't have to be Lassie to figure this one out. He's a Rolex made in China. A Louis Vitton made in Tijuana.

This is actually the dumbest take I’ve seen. Maybe ever lol. He was clearly a player first coach. Kentucky holds one of if not the most coveted coaching job in the league, so choosing to coach another program like Pitt instead of Kentucky would be pretty dumb ($, legacy, exposure, resources, etc.) A Rolex made in China? Cal is an excellent recruiter, but a below average strategist and teacher. His departure from our beloved team was well overdue, but I wish him happiness and success with Arkansas. Not sure why you even brought Cal up anyways. You’re hating on him like he banged your wife or something.
@danhoward240014 күн бұрын
Cal was a great recruiter mediocre coach the last 5-6 years. The game has just passed him by. He will have Arkansas competitive for as long as he is there. I just don’t see him taking them any further than the 2nd rd of the tourney. As for Mark Pope I’m all in go cats!

I was actually hoping for Mark Pope. I didn't want Billy Donovan or Dan Hurley. They had already asked Billy Donovan at least once and he turned it down. I would not have asked him again. And I knew that Dan Hurley was not going to leave Connecticut, for no amount of money and I would not have asked him. I wanted Mark and was very happy when we got him.

2nd year in a row Kansas has been preseason #1 because it's Bill Self and they have Hunter Dickinson and a bunch of guys that can't shoot. Dickinson puts up numbers offensively, but he isn't a good defender at all. He's not a 7 footer that can carry you like Edey or Clingan. He's not that kind of athlete.

You’re so right. My wife went to KU-we’re fans. But even we recognize KU only has Dickinson and Harris; I don’t know percentages but it seems like they score 75% of baskets. You can’t win a title with two guys. KJ is a liability most of the time. And their two guys are making too many mistakes. Should never have been #1, nor remained #1 after Creighton. Stupid stat about #1 loss record for that reason.

KY vs Zags, if you take the team comparison chart and compare both teams pretty much were identical,, the difference of the game could of been one foul shot which is what it was. You really can’t take much away from the game other than they both under performed and one teams black eye was darker.

First off, Go Big Blue!! Love watching Pope make adjustments in game. The team plays great together and are coachable. Love it!! Secondly. Come on. Let's not act like this Kansas and Missouri game is some big deal. Kansas will be fine. I don't care what anyone says. Missouri shot 31 free throws to Kansas 11. You can't explain that away. That's just biased whistles to have that kind of margin.

Jaxson Robinson needs to play PG a chunk of his minutes such as this game. Kerr getting hurt was a blessing in disguise, he’s a 10-14 minute guy not a 25-30 with Butler out

Did they NOT see the game I watched?! Kansas lost because they “literally” dropped the ball too many times-into the hands of their opponent. Missouri is NOT a great team…they should have been ahead by 35 points at the half, but they failed to capitalize on KU’s mistakes efficiently…they’re a bad shooting team. That was proven in the second half. And KU only set that loss “record” because after their humiliating loss to Creighton the polls continued to put them #1…they should never have been that high after that loss. Dumb take, guys; Missouri will lose again…many times, I believe. KU simply blew it, and Missouri happened to be standing there at the moment
@WeShowYou13 күн бұрын
Missouri was playing without its leading scorer and 55% 3 point shooter lol. Also played great defense. If the roles were reversed you’d be giving kU all the credit in the world

Tennessee #1 Kentucky #2 Marquette #3
@boomergrunge384113 күн бұрын
Strength of schedule, despite what these guys say, is the true test. Tennessee has only played Baylor, who played 3 ranked teams and lost them all, so, no, not up there. Kentucky is legit, except for a loss to Clemson-not a “good” loss. And Marquette lost double digits to Iowa St and beat Purdue-big whoop (and Ole Miss, yawn). Purdue beat Bama…that’s their claim to fame. So where is Auburn? A single digit loss to Duke AT Duke after they’ve had time to develop? You dropped the ball here.
