As a Bama fan I understand, "all we had to do is win" and I accept we are being left out - Granted ( deservingly ). I also understand if you win your conference "You're In". BUT ! I thought the purpose was to get the 12 BEST teams in. So how can you be one of the 12 BEST teams when you're ranked # 16 ? It should be by ranking only, not a conference champion. If your conference is weak why should you be rewarded like Clemson - whom only played two ranked teams in the regular season and lost to both of them. Beat SMU in the conference championship, a game I feel was GIVEN to them MHO. The ONLY ranked team SMU played in regular season was #17 BYU ( lost by 3 ). So if any of the people saying "Just beat who's on your schedule" doesn't think playing a schedule as weak as Clemson's and SMU's is NOT an advantage you're crazy. And if SMU plays any of the SEC teams in the playoffs, hit me up and I will bet any amount you'd like to bet on the SEC, If they're so deserving to be in, stand behind your words.

SO GLAD that Alabama is out! Like someone said yesterday, Leave the "Alabama" off the conversation, would we be considering any other 3 loss team? Of course not! Probably more 5 star athletes than anywhere else. Bad coaching, IMHO.

A team handles business playing sub 25 ranked teams and loose to ranked teams. Is that really handling business or deserving of a playoff bid? Got it. Remember what happened the last time the committee chose SMU to be in the playoffs? The SEC is being punished for playing elite teams.
