My CCA C12 already 10 months old now. Previously set with Huawei phone. Now with Xiaomi phone (Mi Note 10 lite with HIFI Hi-Res Audio certified). Paired with cheap USB-C dongle (without dongle, u can't set EQ with HIFI on). Set EQ to reduce the high pitch cymbal/ vocal, and reduce low frequency a bit (muddy bass). My EQ looks like inverted U-shape. Then all good, better. I'm satisfied with CCA C12. Let me know upgrade options for future.

Just got these, first impressions, I already like these over my kz zs10 Pro's, the treble is relaxed in this one, definitely if you're treble sensitive like I am, you will like these. The Kz zs10 Pros only beat this iem is in separation and resolution. CCA CA 16 has better bass and mids than the Kz's imo. The mids only feel recessed with male vocals, but shine with female vocals. So I would recommend CCA CA 16 if you're a causal user that wants to listen to music for a longer time, without feeling treble fatigue, and enjoys an almost balanced tuning.

@@gor1llunn652 Yeah, the CA16's have an impedance of 24 and sensitivity: 98dB, where most KZ have 16 ohms, so you do need a bit more power to make these shine.

Heard a few negative reviews but I have been enjoying my set and you are correct the mid range can be outstanding as well as the layering. It definitely needs a tip upgrade and a nicer cable but overall I'm happy I got it.

My tweak for the thin sounding treble on CA16 is Fast Roll-off filter on DAP and occ cable. Then they have prety good mids and heighs. Only bass is a bit boomy.

I can't imagine how much bass the CA16 has if it is more than the C12. Idk if too many people think they have a perfect seal but actually don't or my perception of bass is skewed but I find the bass of the C12 to be enormous. My pair has more powerful bass than my Blon BL-03's and it isn't hard to notice either. They have more bass than any iem I own.

@zplot Hey, I really liked the CCA CA16 and thought it was tuned really well. I also put the FAAEAL Hibiscus cable on it (off your rec) and they really scale up with better cable and eartips. I would highly recommend them.

@phrozenmenace darker, more laid back. Very wide soundstage. Mids quite recessed. I sold it off because I found that I used it less often than the BA5, Kinera Sif and recently BGVP Zero and DN2.

I first have the C12 it was lagging something and then the CA16 not much better than the C12 and the bass is gone. then the Thieaudio Legacy 3 and I never look back. Get the Legacy 3 and you will stop searching. Get the Spinfit Tips for it.

As for question #2. You can buy a wireless Bluetooth cable at trn and kz and it has a mic too which also answers question #3.

You can also buy a dac dongle too if you want a better sound quality. Seeing that it has no headphone jack, I guess that your phone has a type c beacuse thats what flagship phones typicaly do.

Using CCA CA16 and coming from KZ ZSX I could hear more instruments than KZ ZSX but some of the previous instruments I could clearly hear on the ZSX got lost in the mix/ becomes a bit muddier ) the sound stage is a bit more rounded but slightly bigger than my KZ ZSX (CCA CA16's sound stage is not as wide in terms of Left or Right)? @zpolt is the professional here. I'm just feeling stuff out. What I say may not be entirely accurate. Idk but it's a blurry mess for me when it comes to audio. I can't pinpointed but I could kind of feel the difference.

Great video Zpolt, the CA16 are not perfect but perform well for the price :) I don't think you will like the TRN VX as it has sibilance and really shouty upper mids.

@@mohdnorhalimzainudin7740 Kardinal is definitely better than Altair ( more superb bass and smooth treble - no sibilance, although mids is a little bit recessed for me since Starfield and Mangird has better mids). As for L3 I can't say because I don't have it but if you prefer smooth and natural sound, I can easily recommend Starfield.
