The drums and vocal sampled parts are either sequenced by an not seen sampler or by tape playback. The instrumentation could be a Yamaha TX-816.The Yamaha TX-816 is 8 DX-7s in a rack unit. The TX rack can be triggered by MIDI as well as the Yamaha DX-7 being played. The vocals other than the sampled on i think are live

We had to re-record the whole song in the TV's own recording studio in 1 day. We used a Fairlight CMI, Linn Drum Machine, Roland Jupiter 8 and Juno 60. Then later do the show and do a voice over in front of a the live audience. The video FX we were told was a first for the TV Company. Jose went to see The Buzzcocks in London last Saturday and met up with the host of this show Gary Crowley for the first time since this video!
