Midway Drags Rotary vs 6 Cylinder 2023

Located outside of Pretoria, Midway Drags Raceway is a 200m or 1/8th mile drag strip that holds regular drag racing events. This time they had a showdown between Rotaries & 6 Cylinder cars on the 2nd of July 2023. We made our way to Midway Drags to watch a number of big names in the drag racing community such as Cobus Van Wyk with his MLR BMW S1000RR, Gerrit Wessels with the World's Fastest Mk6R built by Lethal Motorsport, Richard Jordaan in his Nissan 1400 running a 4AGE engine that is one of the fastest 4AGE's in SA to name a few...

I mean they have multiple rotaries running hard, here we don't even touch them with a 10 foot pole... And if we do, they become garage queens. It's like, whatever car oupa had, that's going to be the race car. Lots of diversity in the builds
