Cummins isx has proven to work well in transit operations. Only emissions control is a 3 way catalyst. No dpf or def required. Main limitation is range between refueling. Torque and HP are close to the diesel.

heavy trucks will never go "electric" but CNG i think has more of a place in commercial trucks. i am a truck driver myself. do class 8 trucks that burn CNG still need an after-treatment system (DPF filter and DEF fluid)? i am a milk hauler, not long haul but heavy loads and allot of hills. higher horsepower and torque required.

They have a catalyst, and NOx emissions are near zero. No DPF or DEF as it simply isn’t Diesel (that’s what the “D” stands for)

well if they get out of the pockets of the EV market CNG infrastructure can take off !!

I was thinking about buying clne, clean energy fuel stock because of this engine. It’s very cheap & I think the company will grow a lot.

They spark ignited engines

CNG trucks are woefully unreliable. They operate at a much higher temperature (3x hotter than a diesel) and that causes parts to wear out faster.
